Spring Sunshine

Welcome!

On the Inspired By blog, the team has shown so many gorgeous projects inspired by this beautiful inspiration pic, hop on over there to see all the amazing cards and a layout.

I was inspired by the designs on the towels (floral and patterns), colors and layout of the towels (sketch).

To create the background similar to some on towels, I did a quick search of the Silhouette store for a design to be my stencil.
Stencil created with:  Snapdragon Snippets Background cut file in the Silhouette Cameo Design Store and Michael's Recollections card stock.

I did not photograph the original ink blending with my stencil, so I thought I would share the picture with the next set of cards I created.

Stamps:  Winnie & Walter Sending YouNeat and Tangled No Words, Papertrey Ink Pretty Peonies (5th year anniversary set)
Inks:  Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet distressed ink, Tim Holtz Mustard Seed distressed ink, Memento Pear Tart dye ink

On the next card, I was inspired to create a sketch from the inspiration photo.  On the first sketch card I used patterned papers to create my card. On my second card I used my stamps and inks, staying true to the florals and colors in the inspiration photo while using the sketch.
( Laurel's inspiration photos lend themselves to all kinds of interpretations:  colors, themes, focal point (flowers), inspiration from her titles of the photos, I love that about her challenges.  So, I wanted to show an interpretation of the "layout" of the inspiration :))

Some Bunny Loves You card

On my last card, I used the sketch of the "towels layout" but chose to use patterned papers instead of my stamps and inks to create the color palette for this one.

Good morning!  I am back with another take on the newest challenge over at Inspired By  This week we are sponsored by Technique Tuesday and they are oh so generous!  Make sure to hop over to the blog to check out the details and see the inspiration from the rest of the team using Technique Tuesday stamps.

For my project, I created a Coffee Gift Set using Teri Anderson's Sassy Coffee set.....love!

Gift Card Holder and Coffee House (chocolates box)

And, here's the inspiration this week.  Isn't it springy and beautiful?  I was inspired by the colors and pop of white.

I wanted to use the Coffee and Then the World as the sign logo for the coffee shop.

the drawer opens up for a little gift of chocolates or other small trinkets.

My son's 18th birthday was this week so I didn't get pics of the other two cards I created so far with this stamp set, using the inspiration, but hope to have those posted in a day or so also.  (I could create endless cards with this set, love coffee and this set has so many fun sentiments.)

Coffee and then the World

Hello and good morning.  We are back this week with another challenge over at Inspired By.

This week I was inspired to create using a new-to-me technique (color-penciling a no-line ding bat font).  I used the CG Cute Bunny Dingbat font to cut this cute bunny onto white cardstock.  The bunny began as a font that looks like the one below.

Using my colored pencils, I colored in the card stock image to create my bunny, sipping on his morning coffee, peering out, ready to take on the world.

The cute sentiment is from a clear set by Teri Anderson called Sassy Coffee....swoon!

The window is a Window Pane Silhouette Studio cut file backed with some vellum.

The cute heart on the coffee cup is one of the new releases from Honey Bee Stamps
These are so, so cute and fun!

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team created, wow!

Coffee and The Bunny

Hello.  Just a quick card using a "new to me" stamp set from Teri Anderson and Technique Tuesday.
Sassy Coffee is such a fun set and I am loving all the stamps.

I created the shaker using the new Honey Bee Stamps Candy Hearts, love them!  I added one of the stamped sentiments from Sassy Coffee as a hidden sentiment behind the shaker hearts:  Half Human. Half Coffee.
The die cut is a Studio cut file from Sweet Afton, Dear Coffee, that's ALL you have to say, I purchased and LOVE it!

And I have been creating Easter decor using recycled oatmeal containers and the new Pebbles Night Night Collection.  Although it's a baby collection, the pink in this line is soft and springy and this paper

Happy Happy Ellie

Hello and good morning.  I’m back to share a couple of cards I created this week, inspired by the newest challenge over at Inspired By this week.
Here are my cards.

happy, happy Ellie card

I was inspired by the background (white brick wall), the three focal elements (balloons) the color scheme (green and white), the pops of white on the green mason jar (the repeated sentiment) and the angles of the jars (oval mat for sentiment).

I tried to incorporate the patterns from the straws into the balloons for additional fun.

My next card was a literal interpretation of the "party scene"

lucky me card

I was focused on brick background, color scheme and lantern banner.

party bunny card

I wanted to create a bunny on his way to a party and to give it a pop of fun, I added an Action Wobbler.  I love these and so do the recipients I've shared them with, it makes the element move when you touch it like a bobble head.  I chose to add one to the back of the entire oval so the entire "party scene" moves.

Picture from the top so you can see how the wobbler "pops" the image out to be moved and to interact with the recipient.

Please make sure to check out the challenge on the blog and what the entire team did HERE, amazing!
